I am a proud auntie again!! Bryan’s sister Leanne Balfour and husband David had a little boy on February 23rd. Jayce Devon is going to be loved to pieces by his siblings Jordan, Jessica, and Justin. Jayce was 5lbs 2oz and 18 ½ “ long.
Ron Rude traveled with Steve Rude of Sedalia to the funeral of their Aunt Carol Vogelson (Rude) on Thursday February 15th at Leduc. The service took place at the City Life Christian Centre.
Friday February 23rd James, Carrie, Sydney, Lane, Tanner and Carson Madge met Ron, Sandra and Dan Rude in Hanna for supper to celebrate Carrie’s birthday. They all went over to the Hanna Lodge with flowers, birthday cake and cupcakes to help Grandma Ethel Michaels celebrate her birthday as well. Joining them were Bob and Elaine Michaels of Cereal, and Lodge residents Katie Butler, Joy Kleven and Fred Weich.
The Madges, Nelsons and Garlocks finished off the family week by taking in the Drumheller Dragons game Sunday. Garrett was really happy as he got to blow his horn for the whole game as he isn’t allowed to do that at home. I wonder how Dianne’s hearing is right now though. Go Dragons Go!! Good luck in the playoffs!!
Thirteen rinks participated in the ladies bonspiel. BevSpath won the 1st event, BevWeich won the second event, and Edith Cote won the third event.
There will be a Volunteer Firefighter meeting and practice the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend at the Special Areas Firehall in Youngstown. For more information contact Brian Kresier at 779-3885.
