Hanna Royal Purple Lodge #258 was instituted in 1961. Our club is a group of women that are joined in the bonds of fraternalism and charity. We promote and support community needs through funding and volunteerism. Our national charity the Purple Cross Fund was founded in 1956. In 1998 this name was officially changed to the Elks and Royal Fund for Children in1998. We feel this name is will better identify our charity with our Lodges. Through this charity we can reach out and become a local charity to any child under the age of nineteen years of age anywhere in Canada. When there is a qualified need for assistance this fund will give finiancial assistance for any purpose that is for the good and welfare of a child. Money from this fund can be used to purchase hearing aids, auditory trainers, medicine, crutches, braces, techinal aids, books and other items that is required. .This may include transportation, food and lodging for family while the child is treated asssessed medically. Any person can make an application for assistance by contacting their nearest Royal Purple or B.P.O. Elks club.
