2016 Concert Series
Keri Lynn Zwicker and the HarpRouge Trio. June 8, 2013. This harpist/singer wowed the audience with her traditional Celtic sound, mixed with a bit of Folk and Latin. Tablecloths courtesy of Super A.
David James & Big River “Man in Black” Show. March 13, 2013. This Johnny Cash tribute band packed the house. Our first sold out show! A great night of revisiting Johnny’s legendary songs. A generous donation of tablecloths from Super A. Thanks again!
Jake’s Gift. On October 27, 2012 Julia Mackey gave a superbly touching and humorous performance in this dramatic tribute to Canada’s WW2 Veterans. Widely hailed as one of the best shows we’ve presented! Our gratutide goes out to Atco Power Sheerness for their generous sponsorship.
Ballet Kelowna. Graceful, beautiful, incredibly talented. What a treat to experience a professional ballet in our home town on October 17, 2012. While here, the company also conducted a Master Class with some of our local dance students.
Quartette put on a wonderful performance on March 18, and the audience was our biggest one yet. The ladies, who included Sylvia Tyson and Cindy Church sang beautiful, original country/folk tunes with amazing harmonies. Again our thanks to Super A for tablecloths and to Stage Hanna, for once again managing the bar for us.
Our 2012 main stage Concert Series was kicked off on January 21 by Montreal Guitar Trio, and what a performance! They are true masters of their instruments. And who knew fingers could move so fast! Again, thank you Super A for the super tablecloths.
Lizzy Hoyt gave a lively and well received performance at the Music on the Green Concert July 16, 2011. Lizzy’s accomplished Celtic fiddling, country guitar and fine singing voice made for a wonderful evening. Thank you so much to our sponsors: Warwick’s Home Hardware, Super A Foods, Hanna Dental Clinic and Hanna Golf and Country Club.
Blues artist John Rutherford wrapped up our first Starry Night Cafe series on April 30, 2011 with another sold out performance. John captured the audience with his amazing guitar skills and gritty blues vocals. Again, our thanks to Super A for tablecloths.
Our second Starry Night Cafe was held on March 19, 2011 and featured folk group Painting With Ella, who wowed us with their smooth harmonies and profound song writing abilities. Very mature talent from such a young group! Another sold out performance. Thanks again to Super A for the tablecloths.
Jenn Beaupre and Trina Wallace rocked the sold-out house at our first Starry Night Cafe on February 19, 2011. Many thanks to Super A for supplying tablecloths and to Artistic Petals and Scents for the beautiful roses!
Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our fledgling arts council by attended The Shirleys concert on January 21, 2011. This accapella group gave a wonderful performance and were well deserving of their standing ovation! Our appreciation goes out to the Warwick brothers for their financial donations.
