Mental Health Services and Programs
Services are designed to address the needs of Albertans with severe or persistant mental illnesses through the following programs: -Adult Therapy provides one-to-one therapy for those 18-64yrs. old. -Child and Family Therapy provides therapy for children 0-18yrs. and their families. -Assertive Outreach provides at home and community support for those with more severe mental illnesses. -Psychogeriatrics provides one-to-one family support in the home for those over the age of 65. -In-Home Family Support provides additional support to children and families that are clients of AMHB. -Community Development provides education and support to community groups on mental illness awareness and mental health programs. -Psychiatric consultation provides consultation to therapist and clients of AMHB. -Eating Disorder Consultant provides consultation to therapists, physicians and other professionals. -Walk-In Counselling Service provides immediate, single session therapy to anyone who walks in. It is held in the Strathmore clinic Tuesdays from 1-5.

Regional Mental Health Advisory Committee
RMHAC is made up of volunteers who are consumers, families of consumers, service providers and citizens from the community with an interest in mental health. It meets once a month to provide input to AMHB about the needs of the community, promote mental health, raise awareness about mental illness and advocate on behalf mental health clients.
